Came here with my friend on an early Saturday evening - wasn't too crowded and we were seated fairly quickly at the bar. We were really craving sushi and ordered a bunch of salmon avocado and eel avocado to share. It was fairly straightforward, delicious, and exactly what we were craving at the time. I do believe I also ordered a miso soup that was a little too light and not very hot, but not a huge problem. Would recommend if you have a craving for sushi and are looking for a nice izakaya-esque experience in the Bay Area!

It has been a few years since the last time I came here, but luckily this place hasn't really changed: it has an enjoyable Japanese traditional ambiance and a comfortable aroma in the air. The food has been kept up to a satisfactory and authentic standard. We ordered chirashi sushi, a couple of sushi rolls, zaru udon, tempura udon, and Saba shio dinner set. Though I thought the chirashi was only average, I was pleasantly surprised by their saba dinner set, because they gave us a big portion of it where all of us were able to enjoy some! My son commented he didn't like the dipping sauce for the zaru udon as much but I thought it was fine; but it is not as sweet as some other places that we tried at. Overall a solid restaurant with good food and service.

Great quality fish and incredibly quick service. I typically come to the Strawberry Park Mitsuwa plaza, but have never found myself at this restaurant until my friend recommended it. Came here as a party of two and we were promptly seated and able to order nigiri and rolls from a paper menu in a manner reminiscent of DTF. We ordered the following nigiri: yellowtail, sake, sake toro, toro, and uni. We split an order of rainbow rolls and 7 piece sake sashimi. Despite us ordering a considerable amount for two people, our order came out within 5 minutes of the waitress taking our paper. The cuts are incredibly generous and fresh. It was my friend's first time trying uni and my second time, and it was really fresh and not fishy/salty at all. No complaints at all, we had a great experience overall and would come back.

My friend treated me to this sushi spot for my belated birthday. Now I understand why there's always a line. We ordered the nigiri omakase set and oh boy, the quality of their fish is fresh and plated beautifully. The shrimp head was surprisingly crispy and good, so I ate the whole thing. Usually, I'm not used to eating the head, but I made an exception for this appetizer. Then my friend got the Agedashi Tofu, which was big enough to feed over 2 people. Soft and firm yet crispy on the outside. This place was packed like sardines during lunch. I recommend coming right at opening time since they close earlier than other sushi spots. It may be small, but the service was nice and friendly.

Came here for lunch since I work down the street. They open at for a couple of hours for lunch then Close up again until dinner time, so it gets packed! Waited like 15 minutes for our party of 3 to get seated, but since it's a small place to dine in, parties of 2 or 1 get seated first. A lot of people did order to go to make their lives easier, I get it. Anyway, oysters were good, their cali roll and other tempura roll was tasty per my coworker-LOL, and in my opinion, they had the best quality nigiri for the price, and THE BEST UNI IVE EVER HAD in the south bay. Service is so friendly and attentive, and they dish the food out quick. Love their waitstaff and their chef. Mos definitely coming back in the future. My God.

This is my go to place for good sushi because the fish is always fresh. I typically will order a sushi combo or chirashi bowl which never disappoints. There is usually a wait during peak lunch and dinner times. But the wait isn't too long because the waiters are very efficient. Seating consists of sushi bar seating and regular tables. You are given the option when you put your name down on the waitlist.

Service was great: super friendly women, and very attentive! Got 2 omakase's each for $64 Was good tasted super fresh and I'm generally not a fan of wasabi but it was tolerable Salmon nigiri Can never go wrong with this!

[Food] - Sashimi Lunch ($22.40): Includes salad, rice, and miso soup. 2x tuna, 3x yellowtail, 3x salmon, 3x white tuna. The salad dressing was lackluster and watery, definitely not as good as their previous sesame dressing. Rice and miso soup were fine, no complaints. The sashimi wasn't that fresh, it was alright but had pretty decently thick cuts. Their price definitely keeps them in the competition. [Service] - Fast, attentive, friendly [Ambiance] - Has table & bar seating - Was pretty filled on a Friday at 12:30pm but only a 10-15 minute wait for 2. [Overall] - This used to be a nostalgic go-to Japanese sushi place for me but after changing ownership and I believe cooks, their quality unfortunately went down as their price increased. - I'd rate it closer to a 3.5 but because I think this is one of the more cheaper sashimi lunch, I think it deserves the 4 stars especially since their staff are friendly and attentive

Review for take out. Located in a plaza that has a lot of parking but is super crowded. Called in at opening and it was super fast, 20 min for around 4 orders on a weekend. Inside is still super tight seating so long wait ( 30 min turnover). Got the sashimi lunch which was around 22.50 and came with 3pc white tuna, yellowtail, and salmon. 2 pc tuna. What I assume to be the white tuna was super creamy, the tuna was not metal tasting. They packaged everything and gave us their special salmon miso soup, salad, and rice (usually on weekday not included). The sushi rice is of good quality and not overly seasoned. We picked up, paid, and they gave us an update of how many sets are left to make without us asking which was quite nice and got out! Overall, with rising costs I see why this place is a hidden gem with their fish quality. Dining in can feel a bit rushed/long wait time but their takeout experience was seamless as long as you are willing to call in. (Sorry forgot to take pictures this round )
